Crossroads, Bellevue

Crossroads was the original laboratory for our third place development model. When our affiliate company, Metrovation/Terranomics Development, acquired Crossroads in 1985, the center had failed as a shopping center. However, the trade area was strong and the property well located. In keeping with our community-building history and instincts, we took up the challenge and created a vibrant center of activity for the Eastside, redeveloping and remerchandising the center to make it the exciting place it is today.

Over a 20-year period we have upgraded and expanded Crossroads, which now covers over 550,000 square feet. In the process, we created a fresh new image for Crossroads as the energetic heart and focal point for east Bellevue’s dynamic population.

Crossroads attracts national attention for its successful mix of neighborhood retail, value retail, entertainment, and community-serving amenities, including the satellite City Hall, police station, the multiplex cinema, the library, and the many international eateries at the Public Market.

The center has received accolades and recognition in both west coast and national publications.
