Harborside Commons

A cornerstone development in the rebirth of Bremerton, Harborside will complete the first phase of investment in the downtown, adding high-quality retail and amenities to complement the impressive accomplishments in the areas of public space, infrastructure, and housing.

The 160,000 SF building once housed JC Penney's department store and served as an anchor to the downtown retail core. Now it operates as a parking garage, serving ferry commuters and shipyard workers. Our vision is to re-create the retail and community hub to meet contemporary needs and support the continued revitalization of the town.

The proposed Harborside Commons development will include a Third Place Books, a grocery store, fitness center, and large public commons with destination restaurants and performance/gallery space. We hope to begin construction on the project in early 2009.
